Marius Popovici

Marius Popovici has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Marius currently holds the position of Principal Software Engineer at STARLIMS since 2021. Prior to this, Marius worked at Abbott from 2010 to 2021, where they served as a Principal Software Engineer and Project Manager. In these roles, they led a team in implementing Life Sciences informatics solutions using technologies such as .NET Framework, C#, Javascript, and SQL. Before joining Abbott, Marius worked at STARLIMS from 2004 to 2010. Here, they served as a Project Manager and Software Engineer & Business Analyst. Marius successfully implemented laboratory information management software at various customers in the public health industry and gained valuable business knowledge in laboratory informatics. Additionally, they have experience as a Software Developer at iQuest Technologies, where they worked on electronic product catalog management software solutions. Marius possesses strong skills in areas such as Java web applications, object-oriented analysis and design, database design, SQL, and agile software development practices.

Marius Popovici has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Cluj Napoca. Prior to that, they obtained their High-School Diploma in Mathematics & Physics from Colegiul National "Emil Racovita", Cluj-Napoca.
