Michael Ko has extensive work experience in the finance and investment industry. Michael started their career in 2001 at Korea Asset Management Corporation, where they worked as an Investment Manager specializing in Special Situations. Michael then joined Deloitte in 2005 as an M&A and Management Consulting CPA (US). Michael moved on to Merrill Lynch in 2006, where they served as a Risk Manager in the Principal Investment division. In 2008, Michael joined Morgan Stanley as a Valuation Analyst in the Principal Investment team. Two years later, they joined INJ Investment Management as an Investment Manager, focusing on Private Equity. In 2014, they founded their own company, Pulsar Capital Management, where they served as the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer. Most recently, Michael Ko joined Starlion in 2021 as a Board Member and Chief Strategy Officer.
Michael Ko has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Michael also holds a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from Yonsei University. In addition, they are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the Delaware State Board of Accountancy, which they obtained in 2004.
