Nicola Main

Nicola Main has an extensive background in the field of clinical research. Nicola is currently working as a Clinical Development Manager at Starpharma since May 2020. Prior to this, Nicola held the position of Senior Clinical Research Associate at IQVIA from February 2019 to March 2020. Nicola also has experience working at Cato Research, where they served as a Clinical Research Manager from June 2012 to January 2019, and as a Senior Clinical Research Associate from October 2009 to June 2012. Before joining Cato Research, Nicola worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Schering-Plough Research Institute from May 2006 to September 2009. Nicola started their career at AstraZeneca, where they held the roles of Clinical Research Associate from February 2005 to May 2006, and Study Drug Coordinator from October 2003 to January 2005.

Nicola Main obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm) from the University of the Witwatersrand, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. In 2002, they enrolled in courses towards a Master of Science in Medicine (MSc Med) with a focus on Pharmaceutical Affairs at the same university. However, their pursuit of the degree remains incomplete as they did not provide an end year for this program.

In 2016, Nicola Main obtained the certification of Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA) from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). This certification indicates their specialized knowledge and expertise in clinical research.
