Thekla Wilkening (she/her) has held several roles in various companies since 2012. Thekla was the Geschäftsführerin of Kleiderei Hamburg Gmbh from 2012 to 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they were the Business Development at Interseroh+ and also worked on a Forschungsprojekt Wear2Share mit Fraunhofer ISI during this time. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Unternehmensberaterin at Cool Circles UG (hb), providing consultation to companies of various sizes in the fashion industry. During this time, they also worked as a Freie Autorin, contributing to publications such as WELT/ICONIST, FAZ Personalwirtschaft, MAX Magazin, and their book "Das Bio-Pizza Dilemma: Der überraschende Wegweiser zu mehr Nachhaltigkeit". Thekla is currently the Chief Communications Officer (CCO) and Kommunikationsstrategin at Startnext, a role they have held since 2022.
Thekla Wilkening is currently enrolled in a Master of Arts program at Cologne University of Applied Sciences, studying Behavioral Economics, Psychology & Ethics. From 2012 to 2017, they attended Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, where they received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Bekleidung, Technik & Management. Prior to this, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Berufskolleg Humboldtstrasse Köln, where they received a Bekleidungstechnische Assistentin degree.
