Xiang Fu has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Starting in 2010, Xiang worked as a Software Engineer Intern at iPinYou before moving on to an internship at Google in 2012. In the same year, they also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Xiang joined LinkedIn as a Senior Software Engineer in 2013 and remained there until 2015. During this time, they gained valuable experience in software development. In 2015, Xiang joined Uber as a Sr Staff Software Engineer and became a founding engineer of the Uber Streaming Data Platform team. They were responsible for solving large scale realtime/streaming data serving/processing/analysis problems. Xiang also contributed to multiple data infrastructure projects at Uber until 2019. In 2018, Xiang joined The Apache Software Foundation as a Pinot PMC & Committer. They have been actively involved in the organization since then. In 2019, Xiang worked as a Founding Engineer in a Stealth Mode Startup Company before co-founding StarTree in January 2020.
Xiang Fu completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University from the years 2007 to 2011. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Computational Science & Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, Xiang Fu has obtained a certification in Preventing Workplace Harassment from Emtrain.
