Jonas also co-founded Captual in January 2007 and served as a board member until the company's acquisition in December 2011 by Desire2Learn.

Jonas Brandon's educational career began with high school at Ransom Everglades School, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Florida - Warrington College Of Business. Jonas then went on to earn their Juris Doctor from the University of Florida - Fredric G. Levin College of Law.
