Nacho Ormeño

Nacho Ormeño has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Nacho is the co-founder and CEO of Startupxplore, the biggest startup and investor community in Spain, as well as a premium equity crowdfunding platform. Nacho is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business, including investor advisory boards, product roadmap design, and partnerships. Prior to this, they were the co-founder and COO of Startupxplore, where they focused on disrupting the traditional approach to startup investment growth by building an online community for startups and investors. In addition, Ormeño worked as the co-founder and CTO at Startupxplore, where they led the technical development of a social and easy-to-use tool for the community.

Ormeño also has experience as an Associate Investment Expert at CDTI Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial, where they provided expertise in investment. Nacho has served as a mentor and instructor at Startup Next, a Techstars program that prepares startups for accelerators and seed investment. In the past, Ormeño worked at GMV as a Technical Product Manager, where they designed, developed, and launched products in the logical security field. Nacho also worked as a Product Engineer, Technical Director, and Software Engineer at GMV, where they developed new features for security products and led the design and development of projects for the European Space Agency. Additionally, Ormeño gained experience as an intern at GMV.

Prior to their career in the tech industry, Ormeño co-founded Innova Lyrica, an organization dedicated to promoting high cultural value opera and zarzuela productions to a younger audience. Nacho worked as an orchestra and chorus conductor during this time.

Nacho Ormeño completed an Executive Program titled "Advanced Venture Capital: Managing and Growing a VC Firm" at IE Business School in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 1999 to 2005. Additionally, Nacho Ormeño holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from the Conservatorio Profesional de Música "Teresa Berganza" from 1990 to 2000.
