Tong Sheng Ng

Tong Sheng Ng has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Tong Sheng currently works as a Staff Engineer for the web platform at StashAway since March 2022. Prior to this, Tong Sheng was a Principal Front End Engineer and Front End Lead at Cheetah Digital from December 2018 to March 2022. In this role, they provided coaching and mentorship to front end engineers, assisted the team with technical advice and problem-solving, and was responsible for architectural design for multiple projects.

Tong Sheng also has experience as a Web & TV Platform Lead Engineer (part-time) at iwonder from February 2021 to December 2021. Here, they successfully revamped the entire iwonder web app and improved its performance. Additionally, they delivered a Samsung Tizen TV app with comparable performance to the Amazon Prime app.

Before joining Cheetah Digital, Tong Sheng worked as a Senior Front-End Developer and UX Lead at Randstad Malaysia from January 2016 to December 2018. Tong Sheng was responsible for front-end development, code ownership, and collaboration with backend developers.

Tong Sheng has also worked as a self-employed Web Developer and Web Designer from May 2008 to December 2018, gaining valuable experience in this role. Prior to that, they worked as a System Development Specialist at ACS, a Xerox Company, from April 2012 to March 2015, and as a UI Engineer at Syabas Technologies, Inc from November 2009 to March 2012.

Tong Sheng Ng attended Universiti Malaysia Sabah from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Multimedia Technology.
