Yaojin Sun

Yaojin Sun, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Statistician and Software Developer at StataCorp LLC since June 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, where Yaojin designed methods for segmenting high-dimensional time series data and developed a hybrid optimization algorithm for Sparse Bridge Regression model parameters. A Machine Learning Intern at Lirio contributed to the regularization of Deep Reinforcement Learning through metric learning. Additional experience includes processing extensive DNA/RNA sequencing data at the University of Tennessee and applying unsupervised learning algorithms during research assistant roles at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Yaojin Sun holds a Ph.D. in Business Analytics & Statistics from the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor's Degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
