Janet Perez

In Person Assister at State of Connecticut

Janet Perez is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in community education and health outreach. Currently serving as a Bilingual Community Educator and SNAP enrollment specialist at the Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut since May 2005, Janet has been instrumental in supporting seniors in accessing food assistance through a grant awarded by the National Council on Aging. Additionally, Janet holds roles as a Meals On Wheels Educator, facilitating assessments for potential clients, and as a Bilingual Community Education Specialist, coordinating health education initiatives. At Access Health CT, Janet has been an In Person Assister since October 2013, aiding enrollment efforts for the New Haven population. Janet also shares expertise as a Zumba Gold Instructor and an instructor for Tai Ji Quan: Moving for Better Balance®, focusing on fitness and balance training for older adults. Janet earned a Bachelor of Applied Science from Charter Oak State College and an Associate's degree in Business Administration from the American University of Puerto Rico.
