Shabnam Salih has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Starting in 2011 as a Teach for America Corp Member, they later became an Adjunct Professor at Mercer County Community College in 2013. In the same year, they joined the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, initially as a Program Manager in External Affairs and then progressed to the position of Senior Program Manager and Associate Director of Policy and Engagement. In 2018, Shabnam took on a Policy Advisor role at the State of New Jersey before being promoted to Senior Policy Advisor in 2019. Shabnam'smost recent position is the Director of the Office of Health Care Affordability and Transparency, which they assumed in February 2020.
Shabnam Salih received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Government from The College of New Jersey in 2009. In 2016, they attended Harvard Medical School's Center for Primary Care for Executive Education in Charting the Future of Primary Care. Shabnam later pursued a Master's in Public Administration with a focus in Public Administration from Baruch College, which they completed in 2010.
