Brian Benjamin currently serves as the Lieutenant Governor of the State of New York since September 2021. Prior to this role, Brian Benjamin was a member of the Board of Trustees at Brown University from 2015 to January 2022, where participation included managing a $4.7 billion endowment with notable investment returns. Brian also held the position of State Senator from May 2017 to September 2021, serving as the Senior Assistant Senate Majority Leader and chairing the Budget & Revenue Committee, among other committee memberships. Additionally, Brian Benjamin was a candidate for NYC Comptroller and served as Managing Director at Genesis Companies, LLC, focusing on business development and community relations in affordable housing.
