Bimal Patel

Bimal Patel is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in security engineering and server virtualization. Currently serving as Vice President of Security Engineering at State Street since October 2002, Bimal has streamlined the installation of the Varonis Data Security Platform and architected global data collection systems. Previously, as Assistant Vice President, Bimal designed and implemented VMware infrastructure, developed standardized procedures, and led teams to address infrastructure challenges. Bimal's career includes leadership roles at IBM as Team Leader in VMware Engineering, with a focus on service integration and automation, as well as earlier positions at J & W Seligman & Co and Reed Elsevier, where skills in network architecture and project leadership were honed. Bimal holds a Bachelor of Computer Science from Drexel University and a Diploma in Computer Science from the National Computing Center, in addition to a Bachelor's in Science with a focus on Physics from Sardar Patel University.
