Matthew Friday

Matthew Friday is currently the Graduate Coordinator and Associate Professor of Critical Studies at SUNY New Paltz. Matthew also works as a research and design associate at SPURSE. With a background in painting and drawing, Matthew has held positions as an Associate Professor at Ohio University and State University of New York at Oswego. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Fine Arts from Indiana State University. Additionally, Matthew completed the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. Matthew's expertise lies in radical pedagogy, regional ecologies, and community practices.
