Michael J. Lacqua MD MBA has held various roles in the healthcare industry, including being Chief of the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Hand Surgery at Richmond University Medical Center, Medical Director at The Center for Wound Healing, and Chief Supervising Hyperbaric Physician at Restorix Health. Michael J. has also served as an Advisory Board Member for companies like Kerecis and Q-Bank Group. Additionally, they founded and served as President of The Healing Hands Abroad Foundation, leading successful global outreach initiatives. Lacqua has also worked as a Healthcare Consultant at Gerson Lehrman Group, providing expertise in wound care product development, marketing, and business strategy.

Michael J. Lacqua MD MBA began their education journey by earning a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of South Florida in 1983. Michael J. then went on to attend St. George's University School of Medicine, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 1989. Following this, they completed a General Surgery Residency Program at Nassau County Medical Center / Staten Island University Hospital in 1994. Michael J. further pursued specialized training by completing a Fellowship in Hand Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1995. Additionally, they completed a Primary Training in Hyperbaric Medicine at the Department of Hyperbaric Medicine in 2005. Later in their career, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Quinnipiac University between 2013 and 2015. Michael J. also holds certifications such as a DEA License, Diplomat from the American Board of Wound Management, and a Medical License from the New York State.
