Marie Haldorson

Marie Haldorson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in statistical methodology and governance, currently serving as the Head of Methodology and Architecture Governance at SCB, Statistiska centralbyrån since 1992. Marie has held significant roles including Deputy Director General and Chief of Staff at the Director General's Office, contributing to strategy, national, and international cooperation. As the Director of Regions and Environment Statistics, Marie oversaw Environment Statistics and geospatial integration, while previously supporting local level statistics and GIS as an advisor. Marie's involvement in various UN working groups emphasizes expertise in geospatial methods and data stewardship, including leadership as co-chair in the IAEG-SDG Working Group on Geospatial Information. Educational credentials include a Pol.mag. in Human Geography from the University of Gothenburg.
