Omer Cihan

Omer Cihan has a diverse work experience spanning over different companies and roles. Omer started their career in 2005 as an IT and Software System Engineer at Mas-Deha Canon. In 2008, they joined Heda Electricity Generation as a Deputy Project Manager and stayed there until 2011. Omer then moved to Akenerji in 2011, working as an Operation and Maintenance Engineer for six months. After this, they joined Göltaş Enerji as a Hydroelectric Power Plant O&M Manager, where they worked for three years from 2011 to 2014. Since 2014, Omer has been associated with Statkraft, starting as a Plant Manager and progressing through various roles. Their roles at Statkraft include Devoll Cascade Plant Manager, Floating Solar Project Manager, and currently, they hold the position of Head of Operations.

Omer Cihan has a Bachelor's degree in Electric and Electronic Engineering from Gazi University. Omer also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Cukurova University. In addition, they have an Associate's degree in Electronic Communication from Istanbul University. Omer Cihan has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management Auditor from BSI in January 2017, Electricity Market Announcements (PMUM) from Enerjiport in June 2012, HIGH VOLTAGE POWER PLANTS OPERATING CERTIFICATE OF LIABILITY from The Chamber of Electrical Engineers in March 2012, Risk Assessment from Gelişim Yönetim Sistemleri in March 2012, Day-ahead Market (GÖP) and the Market Management System (MMS) from PMUM and Association of Energy Professionals in October 2011, ISO 9001 - ISO 14001 - OHSAS 18001 from Istanbul Aydın University in June 2011, Siemens PLC S Series from PLC Merkezi in June 2011, and AutoCAD from BELTEK in March 2010.
