Sung-Dae Hong has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Sung-Dae is currently the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of StatLab, a leading specialty supplier in the anatomical pathology industry. Prior to this, Sung-Dae was an investor in various start-up companies and alternative investments.

Sung-Dae also worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where they held several high-level positions including President, Laboratory Products, VP/GM Laboratory Plastics Essentials, VP/GM Growth, Protection and Separation Products, and VP/GM Global Channel Solutions and Growth Regions. In addition, they served as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy, leading strategic initiatives and driving organic growth.

Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Sung-Dae worked at Bain & Company as a Principal, where they led strategy, sales & marketing, and M&A/PE due diligence projects. Sung-Dae also worked as a Consultant, Senior Associate, and Associate at Bain & Company earlier in their career, gaining diverse experiences in various regions.

Sung-Dae began their career as a Teaching Assistant at MIT Sloan School of Management and also worked at Burger King Corporation in the Global Finance department.

Throughout their career, Sung-Dae has demonstrated expertise in strategy development, business analysis, and leadership, making significant contributions to the organizations they have worked with.

Sung-Dae Hong has pursued various educational opportunities throughout their career. Sung-Dae attended the University of Melbourne, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce. Sung-Dae then went on to study at the Harvard Business School, specializing in Authentic Leader Development through an Executive Education program. Sung-Dae Hong later pursued a Master of Business Administration in the Henry Ford II Scholar program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
