Sasson Elya (Sasi)

Sasson (Sasi) Elya has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Sasson (Sasi) is currently serving as an External Director at Bank Leumi since November 2021 and is also a member of the Advisory Board at Velotix since June 2021.

Previously, they co-founded and served as the CEO of a startup in stealth mode since 2020. Before that, they held various positions at the Office of the Prime Minister of Israel, including Executive VP of Technology & CIO from 2014 to 2019, Head of Technological Infrastructures Division from 2011 to 2014, Head of Information Systems Development Division from 2008 to 2011, and Head of Software Development Branch from 1997 to 2008. Prior to that, they worked at MAMRAM - IDF as a Programming Officer and Head of Section in Computing Units from 1986 to 1997.

Sasson (Sasi) Elya completed their BA degree in Computer Science and Economics from Bar-Ilan University in 1991. Sasson (Sasi) further pursued their education at the same university and obtained an MBA in Information Systems in 1997.
