Gene Kelly began their work experience in 1997 as a Salesperson at GSK. Gene later became a Product Manager for Avandia at the same company. In 2004, they worked as a Senior Manager of Cardiovascular Marketing at Corgentech, and then as a Senior Brand Manager at Novo Nordisk in 2005. From 2006 to 2009, Gene served as the Director of Operations at AtheroGenics, where they led scientific communications and key opinion leader initiatives. Gene then joined NicOx in 2009 as the Director of Market Development, where they developed a thought-leader plan for Naproxcinod. In 2011, Gene worked as a Consultant at Strategic Edge Communications and as a Practice Consultant at Element Marketing Group Inc. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as the Director of Scientific Affairs and Medical Communications at Duchesnay USA, where they established a branded message platform and a network of KOLs. Most recently, Gene has been working at Stealth BioTherapeutics since 2014. Gene has held roles such as Senior Director of Commercial & Scientific Liaison and Executive Director of Elamipretide Marketing. In 2021, they became the Executive Director of Medical Affairs at the same company. Throughout their career, Gene has demonstrated expertise in medical affairs, marketing, scientific liaison, and KOL engagement.
Gene Kelly attended the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia from 1979 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
