Audiovisual Technician And Audiovisual Art Handler at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam

Wim Timmermans is an experienced audiovisual technician and art handler with a career spanning over three decades in various roles within the arts and technology sectors. Currently employed at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam since May 2004, Wim specializes in the installation and de-installation of neon art from renowned artists such as Bruce Nauman and Tracy Emin. As the owner of WimTimTech, Wim has also provided AV and technical support for numerous festivals and exhibitions across Europe, including projects with the EYE Film Institute and IDFA. Previous roles include working as a technician for BeamSystems and various cultural festivals, with early experience in light, sound, projection, and set building at Stichting De Balie. Wim holds a technical bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering from HTS Vliegtuigbouwkunde IHBO Haarlem.
