Merly Mears

Merly Mears has extensive work experience in the construction and building materials industry. From 1981 to 1991, they worked at Carter Lumber Company as a Manager, where they were responsible for ordering lumber and building hardware, handling personnel issues, and managing bookkeeping and banking matters. In 1991, they joined Steel Warehouse as the Building and Grounds Manager. In this role, they oversaw various projects conducted by outside contractors, including heating-air conditioning repairs, concrete repairs, roof repairs, snow removal, and maintenance of machinery.

Merly Mears attended Evergreen Local from 1972 to 1976, where they pursued a degree in Business/Marketing. Following that, from 1976 to 1977, they enrolled in Evergreen High School, IUSB, Owens Technical, and Ivy Tech, focusing on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
