Laura Roa, P.Eng, is an experienced educator and engineer with a substantial background in STEM disciplines. Currently serving as a Mechatronics and Programming High School Teacher at STEM Innovation Academy and a Sessional Instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, Laura Roa develops and teaches various technical courses while also mentoring a FIRST Robotics Competition team. Previous roles include Asset Management Program Manager at TC Energy and various engineering positions within the same company, where responsibilities spanned project engineering, standardization, and technical documentation. Laura Roa holds a Master's degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences from Trinity University, with a specialization in electrical engineering and a minor in mathematics.
