AP US Government And Politics Teacher at STEM Preparatory Schools

Lauren Hinkley is an experienced educator currently serving as the History Department Lead and Instructional Coach at STEM Preparatory Schools since June 2018. In this position, Lauren coordinates departmental needs and develops curriculum for grades 6-12. Previous roles include teaching AP US Government and Politics, 8th Grade History, and serving as a Middle School English Intervention Teacher, where Lauren designed targeted curriculums for literacy improvement. Lauren's teaching career began with Teach For America as a 2018 Corps Member after extensive training aimed at addressing education inequity. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's Degree in History and Art History from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Master of Arts in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.
