Molly Poniatowski

Molly Poniatowski has a diverse work experience in education and environmental science. Molly'smost recent position is at Rancho Solano Preparatory School as an Environmental Science/STEM Educator since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at STEM Preparatory Schools as an 8th Grade Level Lead and STEM Teacher from July 2019 to June 2022. Molly also has experience in higher education, serving as a Complex Director at SUNY New Paltz from January 2018 to August 2019, where they managed the operations of a residence hall and advised students. Molly also held various roles at SUNY New Paltz, including Graduate Assistant in the Department of Residence Life and Resident Assistant. Additionally, Molly worked as a Mad Scientist at Mad Science, engaging school-age children in interactive science experiments. Molly gained teaching experience as a Student Teacher in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District and Pine Bush Central School, where they created innovative lesson plans and utilized technology in the classroom. Molly has also participated in study abroad programs at the University of Stirling. Overall, their work experience showcases their passion for education, science, and student development.

Molly Poniatowski has a strong educational background, with a focus on STEM education. Molly completed their Master's degree in STEM Education at SUNY New Paltz School of Education. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree from SUNY New Paltz, majoring in Elementary Education and Geology. Molly earned their high school diploma with honors from Shenendehowa Central High School, where they pursued general studies.

In addition to their academic achievements, Molly has obtained several certifications that enhance their skillset. Molly received the CITI Human Subjects Research certification from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative in December 2018. In March 2017, they became a certified OneLove Escalation Workshop Facilitator through the One Love Foundation. Furthermore, Molly gained expertise as a Yogafit Yoga Instructor in November 2016. Molly holds New York State Teaching Certifications in Childhood Education and Early Childhood Education obtained in May 2017. Molly is also certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid, having received certifications from Advanced Medical Certification in April 2018 and National Health Care Provider Solutions in September 2015.

Molly has engaged in various additional professional development opportunities. Molly completed the Bringing in the Bystander Facilitator program at SUNY New Paltz and earned the Distinguished Alumni accolade from the National Residence Hall Honorary, Laura Bennett Beaver Chapter. Moreover, they obtained the Step Up bystander Intervention Facilitator certification from the Step Up nonprofit.
