Crystal C.

Crystal C. is a highly experienced Senior Research Associate at STEMCELL Technologies, with a tenure beginning in January 2014. In this role within the Research and Development Department, Crystal has specialized in working with mesenchymal, endothelial, and hematopoietic progenitor and differentiated cells, leveraging extensive cell culture experience to develop media for stem cell expansion and differentiation. Crystal has also contributed to education by teaching an Animal Cell Culture Microcredential Course at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in July 2022, where preparation included designing lab protocols and assessments. Previously, Crystal worked as a co-op and part-time student at the UBC Microbiology and Immunology Murphy Lab, focusing on gene cloning and protein expression. Additionally, experience as a Research Assistant at the BCIT Natural Health and Food Products Research Group involved fieldwork and analytical processing of Hawthorn plants. Crystal holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Honours Biotechnology from The University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Biotechnology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
