Salvatore Simmini

Salvatore Simmini, PhD, is a seasoned senior scientist at STEMCELL Technologies since November 2016, where Salvatore has led the launch of innovative media products for advanced organoid research and designed training courses to facilitate new technology adoption in research labs. Previously, Salvatore developed a product kit for human pluripotent stem cell differentiation during a scientist role and conducted impactful cancer-focused research as a postdoctoral fellow at the Academic Medical Center. Salvatore's academic journey includes a PhD in Stem Cells, Developmental Biology & Cancer from Utrecht University, and a Master's in Molecular Biotechnologies from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, complemented by a Bachelor's in Biotechnologies. Early research experiences at institutions such as EMBL and Hubrecht Institute have solidified Salvatore's expertise in biomarker discovery and advanced organoid cultures.
