Golo von Basum

Golo von Basum has a long and varied work experience in the medical device industry. In 2021, they founded and became the CEO of von Basum Consulting GmbH. Golo also became the Chief Operating Officer of STENTiT and Chief Product Officer of Sphaira Medical, as well as a Mentor and Coach for EIT Health. In 2019, they became the Site Leader of Innovation Site Eindhoven at Philips. From 2015 to 2019, they were the Innovation Leader Connected Health Devices at Philips Population Health Management. From 2005 to 2015, they held various roles at Philips, including Innovation Lead Pain Relief, Integral Project Lead, and Senior Scientist. In 2004, they were a PostDoc at Radboud University Nijmegen.

Golo von Basum began their educational career in 1993 when they obtained their Abitur from Pelizaeus Gymnasium. Golo then attended The University of Bonn from 1994 to 2000, where they earned a State Exam in Mathematics and Physics. Finally, from 2000 to 2004, Golo von Basum earned a Dr. rer. nat. (equivalent to a Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Düsseldorf.
