Lou Schopfer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public service, emergency management, and community support. Currently serving as an Emergency Response Team member with Disaster Recovery TWKUMC, a partner of the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Lou also holds the position of Stephen Leader Minister with Stephen Ministries, providing one-on-one care to individuals facing challenging life circumstances. Lou's prior roles include a long tenure as an Executive Assistant with the State of New Jersey, where significant achievements included managing financial operations and developing safety initiatives. Additionally, Lou has contributed to academia as an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at various institutions. Lou holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Rutgers University - Camden, along with other educational qualifications in Criminal Justice.
