Janice Averilla Hintz, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles. Janice is currently serving as the Director of New Product Innovation and Commercialization Liaison at Steuben Foods Inc., a position they have held since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Kansas Medical Center from January 2020 to July 2022. From September 2016 to August 2019, they worked as a Researcher at the Nutritional Biochemistry Laboratory of Kyungpook National University. Janice also worked as a Researcher at the Applied Microbiology Laboratory of Kyungpook National University from March 2014 to February 2016. Before that, they held the position of a Licensed Chemist at Himmel Industries, Inc. from March 2012 to February 2014. Janice also gained experience as a Stability and Method Development Analyst at La Croesus Pharma, Inc. from June 2011 to March 2012. Janice started their career as a Laboratory Instructor I at the Institute of Chemistry from July 2009 to May 2011.
Janice Averilla Hintz, Ph.D., started their educational journey in 2005 at the University of the Philippines, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, completing it in 2009. In 2014, they enrolled at Kyungpook National University and obtained a Master's degree in Agriculture, specializing in Food Science and Biotechnology, with a focus on Food Biomaterials, finishing in 2016. Continuing their education at the same institution, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree, completing it in 2019, specializing in Food Biomaterials.
