Steve Sifling has over 20 years of experience in the footwear industry. Steve has held various senior design and management roles in companies such as Steve Madden, LF USA, Puma, New Balance, Jimlar, LJO Inc., Reebok, Mercury International, and New Balance.
At Steve Madden, they served as the Vice President of Design and Product Development for the Steve Madden branded, Madden branded, and Private Label Footwear divisions. Steve'sresponsibilities included international market research, seasonal trend research, line planning, and merchandising.
During their tenure at LF USA, Steve was the Design Director for the Private Label Footwear division. Steve directed international market research, lead seasonal trend and consumer insight research, and supervised line planning and merchandising.
At Puma, they were the Group Head for International Footwear Design, focusing on Performance and Lifestyle footwear. Steve successfully coordinated the global footwear design calendar, improved efficiency and decision making, and facilitated better alignment between design, development, product management, and sourcing groups.
Steve also worked at New Balance as the Group Design Manager, overseeing multiple design groups such as Performance Footwear Design, Material Design, Color and Trend Design, and NBStudio Innovation. Steve directed the footwear design process and provided creative direction.
Furthermore, Steve held positions at Motherwords, LLC as an Art Director, at Jimlar as a Senior Line Builder/Designer, at LJO Inc. as a Line Builder/Designer, at Reebok as a Senior Design Manager, at Mercury International as a Senior Designer, and at New Balance as a Senior Designer.
Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated a strong ability to lead market research, trend analysis, line planning, creative direction, design and development, and prototyping. Steve has also shown proficiency in managing teams and coordinating global design initiatives.
Steve Sifling pursued their education from 1986 to 1990 at the Rochester Institute of Technology. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine and Applied Arts degree, specializing in Industrial Design.
