Daniel Knell has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Daniel is currently the Regional President at Steward Health Care, a position they have held since April 2018. Before that, they were the Vice President of Hospital Operations for Steward Health Care's Central Division starting in September 2017. In 2015, Daniel founded their own company, Daniel J Knell, Inc., where they worked as a healthcare consultant and operations specialist. In this role, they were contracted with Steward Healthcare and also served as the Interim President of Sharon Regional Health System. Prior to that, Daniel held various leadership positions, including President/CEO of Quincy Medical Center at Steward Health Care from 2011 to 2013. Before joining Steward Health Care, they worked for Health Management Associates, Inc. as the Restructuring CEO of Spring Hill Regional Hospital and later as the CEO of Bartow Regional Medical Center. Daniel also served as the COO & CNO of Charlotte Regional Medical Center. Daniel's earlier experience includes working as the Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services at Cape Canaveral Hospital and as the Director of Emergency Services at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, both under the Hospital Corporation of America.
Daniel Knell completed their Bachelor's degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, which they attended from 1995 to 1998. Daniel then pursued higher education and received a Master's degree in Nursing from the same university, studying from 1998 to 2000.
