Sonja Newsome

Sonja Newsome, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning several healthcare organizations. Sonja is currently the Director of Patient Access at Steward Health Care, a position they assumed in October 2022. Prior to this, Sonja worked as the General Manager at ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers from September 2021 to November 2022. Sonja also served as the Practice Manager at Mount Auburn Hospital from February 2017 to September 2021. Sonja has a significant tenure at Steward Health Care, where they held the position of Practice Manager from January 2011 to February 2017. Sonja was responsible for overseeing multiple clinic areas, creating and implementing policies, monitoring financial performance, and managing the operating budget. In their earlier career, Sonja worked as a Team Coordinator at Boston Medical Center from May 2008 to June 2010 and as a Practice Manager at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from August 2005 to December 2006. Sonja started their career at Brigham and Women's Hospital, where they served as an Administrative Coordinator/Practice Manager from February 1992 to July 2005. Sonja then pursued their Bachelors degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix from 2004 to 2007. Sonja furthered their education by obtaining a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix from 2010 to 2011.
