Bjoern Fischer

As President of STIHL Incorporated, Bjoern Fischer is responsible for the U.S. operations, headquartered in Virginia Beach, Va.

Before his appointment as president in January 2016, Fischer served as vice president overseeing the financial operations, as well as the human resources and information services departments for STIHL Incorporated.

Fischer joined STIHL Incorporated in March 2012, after a successful career with Siemens that spanned twenty years. During his tenure with Siemens, Fischer worked in Germany, California, Texas and Pennsylvania where he was last the executive vice-president and chief financial officer for the Water Technologies global business unit.

Fischer serves on the board of directors for the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute (OPEI), board of directors for the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and is an Executive Advisory Council member of the Strome College of Business and Public Administration at Old Dominion University.

Fischer, a native of South Africa, graduated from the University of Cape Town with a bachelor’s degree in commerce.
