Reyna Carrillo

Reyna Carrillo possess a robust background in biological research and environmental science, currently serving as a Field Biologist and Research Technician at Carroll-Loye Biological Research while also working as an On-Call Field Technician at Stillwater Sciences. Previous experience includes a role as a Scientific Aid with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, where thorough data collection was conducted through surveys and interviews with anglers. Reyna has also contributed as a Research Fellow for the National Science Foundation, focusing on community outreach within STEM education, and as a Science Education Instructor at Ocean Discovery Institute, where marine science concepts were taught to K-12 students. Additional internships and positions have included land planning, COVID-19 safety coordination, and data generation for fish recognition programs, reflecting a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and education. Reyna holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and Biological Oceanography from UC San Diego and a certification as a Medical/Clinical Assistant from Pima Medical Institute.
