Maria Cole

Maria Cole is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in both strategic communication and public affairs. Currently serving as the Senior Communications Officer and Communications and Engagement Lead at the Stockholm Environment Institute since May 2020, Maria collaborates closely with researchers and stakeholders to align science with policy, and leads communications at the Stockholm Sustainable Finance Centre. Previously, Maria held the position of External Communications Manager for the Benelux-Nordic cluster at GSK, focusing on strategic communication and stakeholder management. Earlier roles at Galderma encompassed responsibilities as Global Brand Manager and Global Manager of External Communications and Public Relations, where Maria developed global brand strategies and communication plans. Maria's career began with positions in communications management at Svenskt Näringsliv and Spray Network AB, followed by experience as a Financial Advisor at SEB. Maria holds a Master of Political Science from Lund University.
