Robert Watt

Robert Watt is an experienced Engagement Director at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), where responsibilities include overseeing engagement with policy and practice since 2008. Previously, Robert held roles such as Director of Communications and Head of Strategic Policy Engagement, managing global communications and strategic policy initiatives across various critical areas, including climate and biodiversity. Prior experience includes serving as Environment Attaché at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, where duties involved diplomacy with EU institutions, and as a Policy Adviser in the Cabinet Office, focusing on EU policy for the UK Prime Minister. Robert's early career featured positions at Defra, where contributions included preparing UK policy for EU environmental directives and advising on compensation for farmers impacted by health crises. Robert holds an MA in Comparative Literature and a BA in French Literature from University College London.
