Fabian Levihn PhD has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Fabian started their career as a Research Engineer at IMIT - Institute for Management of Innovation and Technology in June 2010. In November 2010, they also founded Ingenjörsfirman L.F. Levihn. Fabian then pursued their Ph.D. at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from November 2010 to May 2015, focusing on energy sector research within corporate strategy and industrial dynamics.
Following their Ph.D., Fabian worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from May 2015 and continues in this role. In parallel, Fabian joined Fortum as an Investment Analyst and R&D from April 2015 to May 2016. Fabian later served as an R&D Manager at Fortum Värme from May 2016 to December 2017.
In January 2018, Fabian joined Stockholm Exergi as an R&D Manager and became the Head of R&D in January 2020, where they currently work. Fabian is responsible for research and development activities related to energy systems.
Fabian also holds a role as an Expert at the European Commission's Expert group on carbon removals since January 2023. Additionally, they have been actively involved in various organizations such as the Porsche Club Sweden as a Region Delegate from 2011 to 2016, and as a Member of the Junior Committee at KSSS from 2010 to 2013.
In their personal life, Fabian has pursued their passion for sailing as a Sailor at Sjovillan.com from July 2006 to July 2016.
Fabian Levihn PhD has a diverse education history dating back to their upper secondary school years. Fabian obtained their Upper Secondary School diploma from Saltsjöbadens Samskola in 2002, with a focus on Natural Science. Following that, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2010 and earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Continuing their studies at KTH, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Economics and Management from 2010 to 2015. Most recently, they have been pursuing a Docent degree in the field of industrial management of energy systems at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete in 2021.
