Mikael Jarlhammer

Mikael Jarlhammer has extensive work experience in the shipping and energy industries. Mikael currently works as the Head of Fuel Supply Management - Peakload Fuels at Stockholm Exergi, where they are responsible for managing the sourcing and contracting of wood-chips for the company's CHP plant. Prior to this role, they served as a Biofuel Trader and Biomass Portfolio Manager (Interim) at the same company, leading trading strategies and optimizing the balance between price and volume risk for the biomass portfolio. Before joining Stockholm Exergi, Mikael worked as a Charterer at STEM Shipping, where they charter biomass feedstock for a biofuel CHP plant. Mikael also co-founded the company and gained 15 years of experience in the shipping industry. Earlier in their career, Mikael worked as a Chartering and Operations professional at Ivar Lundh & Co AB and as a Freight Operations Manager at AS Tallink Group. Mikael started their career as a Financial Controller at the Port of Stockholm.

Mikael Jarlhammer pursued their education in a chronological order. In 1995, they enrolled at Åbo Akademi University and completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Administration in 1999. Mikael furthered their education by attending the University of Antwerp from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Master in Transport and Maritime Management (M.T.M.M) degree specialized in Maritime Economics. Finally, in 2004, Mikael attended the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and became a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, focusing their studies on Shipping.
