Anth Brannen has extensive work experience in the fields of education and sports. From 2008 to present, Anth has served as the Assistant Director at Stoke on Trent College, where they are responsible for delivering and developing various courses and managing staff members. Prior to this, from 1998 to 2008, Anth worked as a Course Team Leader in the Sport department at Stoke-on-Trent College, focusing on curriculum delivery and quality assurance. In addition, from 2001 to 2006, Anth held the position of National Decathlon Coordinator/Coach Education Tutor at UK Athletics, where they were involved in strategic development, talent identification, and organizing training programs for elite athletes.
Anth Brannen attended Eaglescliffe Comprehensive from 1975 to 1980. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sport & Recreation Studies at Staffordshire Polytechnic from 1988 to 1991. Subsequently, they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE - Secondary) in Physical Education at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1997 to 1998. In 1999, Brannen furthered their education at Staffordshire University and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sport, Health & Exercise Science, which they completed in 2001. Later, in 2010 to 2011, they obtained a Foundation Certificate in Leadership and Management from Staffordshire University.
