Chris Hodgson has an extensive and diverse work experience. Chris is currently the Director of IT and Digital at Stoke on Trent College, where they lead the digital transformation strategy. Prior to this, Chris founded and worked as a Music Consultant at HumanPlaylistr, creating bespoke playlists without the use of algorithms. Chris also had various roles at the National Nuclear Laboratory, including Service Support and Applications Manager, where they focused on incident resolution, stock management, and software development. Chris also worked at the Nuclear AMRC, AMRC Training Centre, and AMRC, where they managed IT projects and systems. Additionally, they have experience at Keele University as an ICT Service Manager, IT Media Technician, and IT Systems Support Administrator. Chris'searly career included roles as an IT Systems Manager at The Aerial Reconnaissance Archives, IT Technician, and Resident Tutor and Student Support Officer at Keele University. Chris started their career as an IT Technician at Stockport Council.
Chris Hodgson's education history begins with their attendance at Stockport Grammar School from 1988 to 1999. After completing their secondary education, they went on to study Chemical Engineering at the University of Nottingham from 1999 to 2001, where they were awarded an Undergraduate Certificate. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Management Science and Music Technology at Keele University from 2001 to 2004. Chris then continued their studies at Keele University, earning a Master of Research degree in Music Technology with a focus on HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), composition, and programming from 2004 to 2005. Chris also holds various professional certifications, including ITIL V3 (2011) Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner, Dell Compellent Storage Center Advanced Administrator, and a Master of Research certificate from Keele University. In 2015, they became a Professional Member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
