Adjunct Professor of Criminology at Stonehill College

Peter Kelly serves as an Adjunct Professor at Stonehill College, teaching Introduction to Policing within the Criminal Justice department since July 2022. In addition to academic responsibilities, Peter holds the position of Deputy Chief of Police and Security at Brigham and Women's Hospital since December 2020, following a long tenure at the Norwood Police Department from December 1987 to December 2020, where roles included Deputy Chief of Police, Commander of the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, Lieutenant, Sergeant, and Detective. Peter also directed a regional forensic crime lab servicing 47 communities through the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council from June 2007 to December 2020, and supervised the NORPAC Drug Task Force from July 2012 to July 2016. Educational achievements include degrees from Stonehill College and Western New England University, complemented by advanced training at the FBI National Academy and the Senior Management Police Institute.
