Karen Sheean

Karen Sheean, SHRM-SCP has an extensive and diverse work experience spanning several high-level roles. Karen started their career in 1997 as a Center Director at KinderCare Learning Centers before transitioning to positions such as District Manager and Director of Systems Education and Training. In 2005, Karen became the VP of Operations Services at KinderCare Learning Centers. In 2012, they briefly owned and served as an Agent at State Farm Insurance. Karen then joined Holiday Retirement in 2014 as an Organizational Development Consultant, gradually progressing to become the Chief People Officer. In 2021, Atria Management Company acquired Holiday Retirement, and Karen continued their role as the Chief Human Resources Officer. In 2023, they joined Everstory Partners as the Chief People Officer. Karen's extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles makes their a valuable asset to any organization.

Karen Sheean, SHRM-SCP attended Ohio University from 1991 to 1995. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED) with a focus on Education.

In addition to their academic background, Karen has obtained several certifications. In 2009, they became a Certified Trainer for Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue through VitalSmarts. In 2015, they received the Drexler/Sibbet Team Performance Model Certification from McNeil Consulting - Rob McNeil.

Karen's most recent certification is the SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) from the Society of Human Resources Management, obtained in December 2018. Moreover, they are planning to obtain a certification as a Certified Trainer for Crucial Conversations for Accountability from Crucial Learning in November 2022.
