Laura Mayes

Working with Laura Mayes's team and leaders, managers and staff networks across Stonewall, she leads the work they do internally to support and empower colleagues to be brilliant and bring a commitment to inclusion and belonging to life, ultimately creating an environment where colleagues can thrive and confidently work towards creating a world where they have true equity for all LGBTQ+ communities. This means ensuring that they have the right culture, policies and ways of working in place to enable this. Her teams cover all aspects of HR, volunteering, internal comms and engagement, and facilities, ensuring that they adopt a people-centered approach in all they do.

Before joining Stonewall, she worked in HR in the retail sector for 12 years, before moving to the third sector in 2014. Throughout hercareer, she had the privilege of leading and working with talented and diverse teams to create positive change at work and beyond.
