Satu Bates has extensive experience in digital marketing and communications. Starting in 2013, they worked at Stora Enso, where they held various roles and responsibilities. As a Digital Branding Development Manager, they led the development and management of the company's external digital services, including web development, SEO/SEM, and social media management. Satu then transitioned to the role of Digital Marketing Manager, where they focused on accelerating the usage of digital marketing for demand generation and brand strengthening. Satu also worked as a Digital Communications Manager, specializing in analytics, user experience, and digital KPI framework management. In their most recent role as a Senior Manager Digital Operations and Team Lead, they continue to drive marketing transformation and is responsible for the long-term development of digital marketing strategy. Prior to Stora Enso, they worked at Outokumpu, where they held roles in web marketing, project management, and program coordination, focusing on the development of customer extranet and enhancing user experience and engagement.
Satu Bates completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in strategic customer relationship management from Laurea University between 2006 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a BBA with a specialization in international B-to-B marketing from the same university, from 1998 to 2002. In 2003 and 2004, Satu attended EVTEK University, where they obtained a BBA in multimedia engineering/technology. Satu also completed high school at Karhulan lukio from 1994 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, Satu obtained a certification in inbound marketing methodology from HubSpot in January 2016.
