Kayla Gibbens has a diverse work experience. Kayla is currently the Director of People Operations at Storable since July 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Sr. People Operations Business Partner at the same company from March 2019 to July 2022. Kayla was responsible for various aspects of employee development, performance management, talent assessments, engagement, recognition and rewards, retention, and more. Kayla also managed disciplinary processes and conducted investigations when needed.
Before joining Storable, Kayla worked at Red Nova Labs from April 2016 to September 2018, where they served as the HR Manager. Kayla built and managed the HR and recruiting capabilities for the company, overseeing all talent and people-related matters. Kayla led the in-house recruiting efforts and was responsible for filling 40-50+ positions annually across various functional areas of the business.
Prior to Red Nova Labs, Kayla worked at the Charles Koch Foundation from June 2014 to March 2016 as an HR Generalist. Kayla collaborated with leaders to drive performance management strategies, personnel decisions, and foster the organization's culture. Kayla also provided guidance and support on employee relations matters.
Kayla started their career at Koch Business Solutions in January 2013 as a Recruiter, handling full-cycle recruiting processes for multiple departments. Kayla also served as a Jr. Recruiter and HR Intern during their time at the company, which lasted until June 2014.
In addition to their professional experience, Kayla also held leadership roles in the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, including Chapter President from December 2010 to December 2011 and Membership Education Vice President from December 2009 to December 2010.
Kayla Gibbens attended Kansas State University from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Marketing and Management.
