Haakon Skaane began their work experience as a Market Risk Analyst at Citigroup in 1998, where they worked until 2002. From 2002 to 2003, they served as a Risk Manager (Equities) at CIBC World Markets. Haakon then joined Deutsche Bank as an Equity Derivatives Strategist from 2003 to 2005. Following that, Skaane worked at Credit Suisse as the Head of Counterparty Exposure Measurement / Market Risk Methodology from 2005 to 2010. Haakon then joined Nomura International as the Global Head of Stress Testing & Market Risk Analytics, where they worked until 2019. Currently, Skaane is with Storebrand, where they hold the position of Group Head of Actuarial Function, a role they have been in since 2021.
Haakon Skaane's education history includes obtaining a DPhil in Mathematical Physics from the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1998. Following this, they pursued further studies and obtained an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of London from 2001 to 2003.
