Niels K. Smit

Niels K. Smit has extensive experience in engineering and project management within the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as Business Improvement Manager at Stork, a Fluor Company, since December 2015, Niels holds multiple titles related to operational excellence and business leadership, overseeing work processes, planning, logistics, and procurement, while leading teams of 2-5 individuals. Previous roles include Delivery Engineer at AJS V.o.F. and Chief Office Engineer at Stork Technical Services, where responsibilities encompassed project execution planning, client coordination, and safety documentation. Niels began a career in engineering as a CAD Engineer and progressed through various technical and preparatory roles, culminating in a BSc in Precision Engineering from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
