Paul Wilson

Paul Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Paul started their career at Ulster Carpets in 1997, working in R&D until 1999. Paul then transitioned to the education sector and served as a Physics Teacher at Ballyclare High School from 2005 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Queen's University Belfast as a Knowledge Transfer Associate, working until 2018. Following this, they worked at Belfast Health and Social Care Trust as an MRI Physicist from 2018 to 2023. Currently, they are employed at StormHarvester as a Senior Software Development and Delivery Engineer, joining in February 2023.

Paul Wilson has a diverse education history. Paul began their academic journey in 1996 at the University of Oxford, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics in 1999. After that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Artificial Intelligence at The University of Edinburgh from 1999 to 2000. Following this, Paul enrolled at Queen's University Belfast, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from 2000 to 2004.

In 2004, Paul attended the University of Oxford once again, this time completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Teaching, Science, and Physics. This highlights their interest in the field of education and their dedication to becoming a qualified teacher.

Paul has also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In 2017 and 2018, they completed Comsol Multi-physics Intensive and Advanced courses, respectively, from COMSOL, Inc., specializing in Finite Element Method (FEM). In 2019, Paul obtained an Anatomy and Physiology Level 4 certification from Open Study College.

Furthermore, Paul's ongoing commitment to professional development led him to become a Registered Clinical Scientist, a certification they attained in September 2022 from The Health and Care Professions Council.
