Creator And Producer at Story City

Emily Craven has a diverse work experience in the fields of storytelling, digital content production, and interactive experiences. Emily is the CEO and creator of Story City, a social enterprise that develops interactive narratives through a GPS app. Emily has also worked as a creator, producer, and presenter for Story City, collaborating with local government, organizations, brands, and businesses to create locative adventures.

Emily has presented numerous workshops on interactive storytelling, publishing, and author platforms for various writers' centers and conferences. Emily has also been a blogger, podcaster, and mentor on unconventional publishing and creative experiments through their platform called Craven Stories.

Additionally, Emily has had roles as a customer experience manager at IndigoSpirit, a producer of Street Reads for Brisbane City Council, a writer and co-designer of an interactive AR experience, a digital writer in residence at Brisbane State High School, and a digital producer for if:book Australia and the Queensland Writers Centre. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in unconventional publishing and digital storytelling.

Emily Craven attended Siena Catholic College from 2000 to 2004, where they completed their high school education. In 2006, they enrolled at the University of Adelaide and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Space Science and Astrophysics. During their time at the university, their field of study included Physics and Geophysics. In 2015, they participated in a three-month accelerator project for social enterprises at Impact Academy, focusing on start-up acceleration for social enterprises.
